Sarahah Mobile App Removed from Playstore and Appstore
The world famous Sarahah mobile app removed from Playstore and Appstore after a change.org petition that the app felicitated bullying. The word Sarahah means ‘honesty’ in Arabic. The app is widely popular in the world and which allowed the users to comment anonymously to their friends. The app is developed by the Saudi programmer Zain al-Abidin Tawfiq.
A lady named Katrina Collins started the petition on change.org after her daughter got a message to kill herself. The petition got high public support and received 4.7 lacks signatures across the world.
Tawfiq – the founder of the app said that this decision to remove the app from Appstore and Playstore by google and apple is unfortunate and he is very optimistic about reaching a good understanding with them soon. He said the Sarahah mobile app have filtering mechanism so it will not allow any offensive messages. But Collins rejected this claim.
Sarahah is an app which provides honest feedback to someone’s friends and colleagues. This mobile app allowed anybody with a profile link of the user to send an message anonymously. The user can read the messages and they can’t replay to that.
